Our Story
Kattelatte Kafe was born from a simple idea: what if a coffee break could also save a life?
Run by 2 Save Me Animal Shelter, our cafe gives rescue cats a safe, comfortable space to socialise with people while they await their forever homes. The cafe is not a pet shop — it’s a place to meet, get to know, and connect with cats who need a home.
When you visit us, you’re doing more than enjoying a cup of coffee. You’re directly supporting our rescue work and giving cats a chance to find their family.
Nestled in the heart of Sola, we’re a place where you can slow down, sip something warm, and maybe — just maybe — fall in love with a furry friend.
We follow the Norwegian Animal Welfare Act and work in dialogue with Mattilsynet to ensure the highest standards of animal welfare and hygiene.

Meet Our Cats
Some are rescue cats looking for their forever home, while others are therapy cats. Get to know them.
Profiles are updated as our cats find their forever homes — new rescue cats join us regularly. All adoptions go through 2SaveMe.

Getting Here
The cafe is located in the back of the 2 Save Me second-hand store. Parking behind the store. We’re a short drive from Stavanger city centre, just off the main road through Sola.

Yes, we operate on a booking-only basis. Max 6 guests per booking — for larger groups, please contact us for private arrangements.

Some of our cats are rescue cats who may be adopted, while others are therapy cats. All adoptions go through 2SaveMe’s formal adoption process.
Yes! Children aged 6+ are very welcome — our cats often enjoy the company of gentle young visitors. We ask parents to stay alongside their children throughout the visit and help them approach the cats calmly, so both the children and the cats have a lovely time. We also have Paws & Pages, a special event designed for kids. See the booking section for details.
Yes — but max one adult per child. Paws & Pages is built around the kids reading aloud to the cats (the cats love it, and it does wonders for the children's confidence). When there are more grown-ups than children, the focus shifts and the cats can get unsettled. If a booking comes in with more adults than kids, we'll get in touch to adjust — no drama.
Please leave your own pets at home. This helps keep the Cat Lounge calm and safe for our cats.

Use inside voices, let the cats come to you, don't feed the cats, and no flash photography. Read our full house rules →
If anyone has a fever, stomach bug, or a strong cough, please reschedule. We provide cat-safe hand sanitiser at the entrance.
Cats are animals, and while scratches are rare, they can happen during play. We keep a first aid kit on-site and our staff are used to handling minor bumps. For clothes and belongings, we recommend dressing practically and keeping bags and coats zipped up and off the floor — the cats are curious! We're a small non-profit and can't replace damaged items, but with a bit of common sense most visits pass without incident. If anything more serious happens, tell staff immediately.
